I'm a little, I've been a little dyspeptic this week. I don't mean literally, but more figur more figuratively just been a crummy mood for a

bunch of reasons um to all and to all my friends who listen to this podcast and then text me about

why i'm bummed about this that or the other thing and what i didn't mention or what i was being

oblique about it i'm just in a bad mood. Okay. So where to begin? Um, yesterday I went to the Dick Cheney, uh, memorial service.

It was a lovely fair. It was a long affair. I got all sorts of back issues. That's one of the

reasons why I'm dyspeptic. And, um, it was a lot of sitting on a hard bench for me particularly because he had to get there

super early for all the security stuff but um it was totally worth it um i got all sorts of problems

i mean with the national cathedral and sort of for its uh commercially induced theological lassitude, but it's just a lovely setting,

and when they want to do it right, they can really do it right. And the Marine Choir was amazing.

And by acclamation, Dick Cheney's granddaughter just crushed it. I mean, just brought down the house.

I hate being something of a student of eulogies,

but these were really, really lovely done.
