such a controversial subject let's let's start with the facts. Okay, so what do we know about the

connection between gender and wages? So spell out the facts for us.

So most people have probably heard a statistic like women earn 80 cents for every dollar that a man makes.

The number last year was 81.8 percent. So women on average earn 81.8 percent of what a man earns. And the way they come up with that number is what they're looking at is among all full-time

They're going to take the median man and compare the median man to the median woman.
