With our apologies for using the same tagline twice in one week, something that I really don't like to do, but this week it's more than appropriate.

The old world is dying and the new world struggles to be born. Now is the time

of monsters. This is hell and the monster that is far too real that lurks the earth and all humanity

today is the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza.

In the past, we have repeatedly had guests on the show who argued we were seeing the death

of neoliberalism, and when it did not instantly come, many dismissed such claims as if the

neoliberal order were impervious, anyone saying otherwise we're nothing more

than chicken littles warning us about something that cannot and will not ever happen.

Then last week, the unemployed epidemiologist who got the pandemic right, according to the

Nation magazine, Rob Wallace, told us that the pandemic was neoliberalism's nail in the coffin as it

revealed how poorly neoliberalism responds in crisis by undermining any attempt at dealing

with a widespread public health threat that COVID-19 pandemic was, even though COVID-19 remains,

and Rob even made reference to COVID-27.

Today's guest sees a nail in the coffin of liberalism, not neoliberalism, and that nail

was struck by Israel and all the nations that supported the genocide in Gaza, who were

complicit, who seemed to have burned the last shreds of whatever

international humanitarian law regime we ever did have. Even worse than that is the toll of our

own humanity, having lost it in the name of yet another colonial project, as our world still

struggles with decolonialism.
