The final day of the trial the century has arrived and there is only one thing left to

do for the attorneys involved in the case and that is for Bill Conkel to address the

jury with his final remarks.

Now we feel extremely fortunate as we were able to coax Bill Conkel to read his closing

argument made on that faithful day to you, our cherished listeners.

It is lengthy and it is because we are able to get modest senior and Bill Conkel to recite

their statements to the jury that we summarized much of the testimony of trial.

In terms of weighing the impact on you, the listeners, Darren and I both felt that hearing

these words spoken by these two men some 40 years after the fact now as old men long

past their primes is incredibly powerful.

in California on March 12 of 1980.
