Summary

In a powerful, thought-provoking message from Mosaic Conference in 2018, Pastor Erwin McManus casts vision for the future of humanity. Based on Ezekiel 36, he highlights the promise God has for us as we take on the future: that our hearts of stone will be replaced with hearts of flesh.

Pastor Erwin highlights that though at times he would rather have the heart of Iron Man instead of a heart of flesh, God doesn’t want to restore us to be hurt, but to bring us back to our original intent as humans, created with the imagination of God.

Because God imagined us into the future, we were made to create the future we dream of as well. In his message, Pastor Erwin states that we create from our essence. This is why it is essential to create from a heart of flesh. When God gives us a new heart, we can create from our original intent-from a heart filled with compassion, empathy and intelligence.

If you’ve been longing to create a future that right now you can only dream of, check out this amazing new message!

So our theme for the Mosaic conference is the future of, and we're going to be looking

0:31.5

at different aspects of the future as we not only travel into the future but create it

0:38.1

as we go. There are some things that distinguish Mosaic in many ways, there are certain ways

0:43.2

of seeing the world and engaging in reality and understanding who we are as human banks.

0:49.7

So what I wanted to do tonight is I want to take the theme, the future of and focus on

0:54.2

the future of humanity. Because if there's one thing we need right now, more than perhaps

1:00.4

we've ever needed it before, was a future filled with hope and promise, a future that elevates

1:10.4

who we are and inspires us to once again become who God created us to be. I think for me,

1:17.4

this question has been so central throughout my entire life, the question of what it means

1:21.5

to be human, what it means to be the species that we are and where are we going. And it's

1:28.3

interesting to me, whenever we start talking about human evolution in the future of humanity,

1:32.6

whenever I'm in different environments, people immediately start asking me about artificial

1:35.8

intelligence, but robots, because one day we're going to be replaced by robots.

1:41.6

And one of the great concerns, in fact, I was at one of the conferences that Tad and the

1:46.8

seminar that Sushin was called, our robotic overlords. That's kind of ominous, isn't it?

1:54.0

And that entire session was focused on artificial intelligence and the realization that we're

1:58.9

developing such advanced algorithms that computers now seem to be able to outsmart humans.

2:06.6

And we're not far away from the day where it will at least appear that artificial intelligence
