Summary

Welcome to Gaslit Nation Presents: The Future of Dictatorship. Our special series running all summer long features leading voices on the front lines of understanding A.I., corporate surveillance, silicon valley greed, and more. The dictator's playbook remains the same over time, as we show in our graphic novel Dictatorship: It's Easier Than You Think!, but the technology they have at their disposal keeps changing.

We set out to understand what innovations in Chinese surveillance are being developed with the help of Western companies; what can be done to protect ourselves from corporate surveillance and Silicon Valley greed; will A.I. and automation take away more of our jobs and what can be done about it; how do we face an uncertain future together and build the world we want for ourselves and future generations? All those questions and more are discussed in The Future of Dictatorship, only on Gaslit Nation.
