Now I'm teaching lesson number six out of the continuing series, the futility of foolishness.

The verses that we have been looking at come out of Proverbs, chapter number one, through 7 the operative verse or the verse of emphasis

has been verse number 7 it says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge it is the fear God. The Bible says that is the beginning of knowledge.

Key statement we have been rehearsing throughout the series has been when a person does not fear God.

They are capable of doing anything.

When a person does not fear God, they are capable of doing anything.

The scripture says that fools, those who are void of insight from God, illumination from God, revelation from God, despise wisdom.

The fool despises insight from God, revelation from God, illumination from God, the fool has no respect or appreciation for what God says.

Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Throughout the teaching, we have further learned that God wants us to know something.

He wants us to have knowledge so that we believe something,

that is from God's perspective, so that we become something, so that we do something, that is,

we carry out a God-ordained task. God wants us to have knowledge. The quality of your life, the quality of my life is

always proportional to the condition of our thinking. The quality of a person's life is determined by the quality of our thinking.

It is important what we think.

So much so that Jesus told us in Philippians 4,

he says to his body, think on these things.

He told us to think on those things that are true, those things that are honest, those things

that are just, those things that are lovely of a good report and worthy of praise, he gives
