Trudging forward toward the end of the year.

And what a year it's been. But this episode, if you're looking

for a very, like, happy, hopeful episode, this might not be it, but it is one that we've been

really looking forward to. We had on Laura K. Field, who is the author of the new book,

Furious Minds, The Making of the Maga New Right. It was very fun to talk with her

because we share very similar backgrounds. She's a political theorist by training, taught by Straussians.

She was in that orbit. She's taught at Rhodes College, Georgetown, American University,

but she's currently a scholar

in residence in American University, a senior advisor for the illiberalism studies program at George

Washington, and a non-resident fellow with the Brookings Institution. Some listeners may have read

her work at the Muscanon Center, and some listeners probably have read her work at the

bulwark, at the New Republic.

But the occasion, as I mentioned, was the release of Furious Minds, which, Sam, as you put it,

it's kind of like part of the podcast in book form. Yeah. For those listeners who enjoy it when we
