We're going to talk about the Senate today because the Senate returns for their fall schedule.

And we're going to take our cues from one of the best newsletters in the business.

And the decisions that these four are going to make will be pivotal.

You've got two independents, a Democrat and a Republican, and the decisions that they're going to make will likely determine the balance of power in that chamber.

So let's go ahead and start with Joe Mansion.

Joe Mansion we've talked about quite a bit. Not only was he really the star of our fallow

period in the political calendar when all this gross governing is going on and we don't have actual

campaigns and races to pay attention to but he's also kind of the last of a dying breed.

A Democrat who can consistently win in hostile environs.
