Today on the Grave Tox, a conversation about the Falk Monster with author, Lyle Blackburn.

For more than a century, reports of a strange beast known as the Falk Monster have circulated among the locals in Southern Arkansas.

Described as a large, hairy, man-like creature, it's said to haunt the vast sulfur-river bottoms as it travels the secluded waterway

known as Bagi Creek.

Over the years, the creature has been seen by numerous witnesses, including respected citizens, experienced hunters, famous musicians, and even a police officer.

I'm Carol Hughes in Fertonee-Bruski, and on this episode, we'll talk about the sightings and theories surrounding the Falk Monster with a Lyle Blackburn author of the Beast of Bagi Creek, the true story of the Falk Monster.

Lyle, thank you so much for joining us today and tell me, how did you become interested in the Falk Monster?

Like thousands and thousands of people in the 1970s when I was really young, I saw a movie called The Legend of Bagi Creek.

And that movie was a sort of doctodrama horror movie based on the true life sightings of the Falk Monster.

It was released in 1972 and played for many years in theaters and driving circuit and even on television in the 70s and made, I mean, the movie was made for $150,000 and made upwards of $25 million.

It was a huge movie.
