Welcome back to the forging table. The mission of Undaunted Life is equipping men to push back

that's Matt guys. We are digging into Nehemiah 5 today. I'm very, very excited to dig into Nehemiah 5.

You know, when you get into the first four chapters, one thing that I notice is I have a I talk

about Nehemiah 5 and I look forward to Nehemiah 5 or really anything in Nehemiah is I usually focus on

the first four chapters because that's where the most stuff, you know, without, you know, chapter 3

being as exciting. That's where kind of the most stuff goes down, but there's a major shift with Nehemiah 5

because, you know, we've been talking about defense and we've been talking about we're going to do

this and we're going to do that and we're going to make sure that we're vigilant, which we talked a

lot about last week in a biblical defense of self defense. And man, those are kind of banner episodes.

But now we're starting to get into what is happening with the people. There's some damage that's

that's coming to these people. And again, reminder, this is a people that has been downtrodden

for generations, right? They've been beat up. They've been, you know, mentally destroyed.

And the rebuilding of the wall is almost like a metaphor for the rebuilding of who they are as an

attitude as a people as a personality. And in the first two verses here in Nehemiah 5, now they're

arose a great outcry of the people and of their wives against their Jewish brothers. That's very

important against their Jewish brothers, not against, gestion, not against to buy and not to get

sand ballot against their Jewish brothers. For there were those who said, with our sons and our

daughters, we are many. So let us get grain that we may eat and keep alive. So at this time,
