and you guys are in for a huge treat today because my friend Dr. Gary Chapman,

the author of the Five Love Language, is joining me today to talk a little bit about

why it's so important that we learn to speak the love languages of the people that we love in our lives.

This was an absolute treat and a joy for me to interview Dr.

Well, thank you, Hardy. It's great to be with you. I've been looking

forward to this for a long time because you don't know me obviously but I know you I

know at least your work and I'm a super fan so I read a long time ago the five

love languages used it with all seven of my children and my daughters now are

using them with their children.

So it's exciting to see the sort of generational impact

that your work has had.

Is it, do you sit back and go, wow, that's amazing.

Because I'm guessing that when you discovered it you never really realized this is going to have

an incredible impact. Well you know I did not know that what has happened would happen. But I did know that the concept would help people

because I had discovered it and been using it in my counseling for a number of years before I wrote the book.

And it really grew out of my counseling.

I'll never forget the first time it dawned on me that what makes one person feel loved doesn't make another person feel loved.
