Very nice to have you. Just by way of a quick introduction, you are the author of a new novel titled The Atlas Maneuver. You've also authored 22 other novels.

And this particular book that we're talking about today, The Atlas Maneuver, I think is the world's

first novel where Bitcoin is the plot, actually. So I wanted to have you on to talk about this.

And to get started, before we jump into the novel itself, maybe we could just start

with a little bit about you, your professional background, and your journey into discovering

Bitcoin.

Well, I was a lawyer for 30 years.

So I practiced law for a long, long time. And I first started writing in

1990. But from the day I wrote my first word to the day I sold my first word was 12 years. It was a long

time. I wrote eight manuscripts during that time. Five went to New York houses. They were rejected 85

times. I made it the 86th time,

12 years after I started. So it was a long process for me to get published. That was the Amber Room in 2003.

Since then, there's been 22 more books, and 18 of those are Cotton Malone stories, which is what

this is, part of the Cott Malone series, five are standalones.

And I've been fortunate that I've been able to make writing a career, that I could actually do it full time.

And I don't practice law anymore.

I haven't for a while.

And I'm always on the lookout for new subject matters, things that are a little bit

not as known as other things are. I like things from the past, things lost, forgotten,

but those things from the past have to also matter today. They have to still matter in today's world.
