Oh, Hi this is the Josh Marshall podcast with Kate Riga. Well, last night, we had the first in the nation primary, sort of.

It's the Democrats don't really have one anymore even though they kind of did.

So first in the nation and kind of last in the nation, right?

It seems like everybody's decided it is all over.

Which is good because we decided it was all over a year ago,

because it was all over a year ago.

So, you know, one of the things we are going to talk about in this episode of the

podcast is this kind of cacophony and clutter and chaos of what are the benchmarks?

What are the standards? Right?

Did Donald Trump win so resoundingly that now the Republican nomination

battle is effectively over? Or did the guy who's been the head of the Republican Party for

the last eight years, seven eight years depending on how you want to define it, only managed to get a little over 50% of the vote.

And this woman who's essentially a placeholder candidate, let's be honest.
