The fire movement's dead?

What you need to know. I am so excited about this because I love when we can talk about this.

Not specifically the fire movement per se, but I love when we can talk about financial

independence.

And I think that there are a lot of thoughts and theories out there about what

fire is and what fire looks like and then I think there's the reality of how it has

morphed in our opinion has changed a little bit over the years.

Well look I think we get a bad reputation and we just leaned into it why not let's go

ahead and give them some fuel but I do want to give some some kudos in the fact that

I like when fire came on the scene and in a minute

you're gonna find out that a lot of this stuff was timeless fire just kind of

popularized so and branded in a way that people attached to but I do love that this was a catalyst for a lot of

discussions where people because I think the default for most Americans is they

ignore their financial life and then they're so shocked when they get close to retirement and they realize

Holy cow. So it's the exact I love the magnifying glass that the fire movement is done to really get people moving and

thinking about their financial lives.

And so what we want to do is we're going to talk through the fire movement.

We're going to talk about the highlights of it, some of the setbacks, and specifically how it's evolved in our

opinion over the past couple of years.

And in our opinion, we think that it's evolved for the better and we are in true money guy fashion

we're gonna round out the show by giving you the actual numbers if this is something

that you are aspiring to and you're aspiring to do it by a certain age
