Today we have as our special guest, producer and documentary filmmaker, Denny Tadesco.

Denny has had a long successful career in filmmaking, including working on several IMAX

documentary films. He also produced and directed the highly successful music documentary,

The Racking Crew, about a group of legendary LA session musicians in the 60s and 70s,

one of whom was his father, legendary LA studio guitarist, Tommy Tadesco.

Hey, Denny, how you doing? I'm great. Awesome. So you're in Los Angeles, correct?

Yeah, well, it's funny because technically today I am in Ventura, California.

Oh, okay. My parents in the 70s bought a condo up here.

And it's funny because it's when my dad started playing live, actually, because he bought

this condo and there was a live band playing, I don't know if you know Ventura, but there's

you know, where the peer is, there was some that was called Charlie's and had a lot of live jazz

and he would go there. He would walk by and he sit in and also he started playing live again.

So this condo has always been in our life, you know, for our family.

Yeah, that's a great area too. I love Ventura. Yeah. So basically we had to leave LA,

my house. What's a lot of information for this zoom, but I reckon my house out for a week

for a film crew. Oh, okay. Cool. Unfortunately, I had somewhere to go.

So you, you know, a lot of people would know you from The Racking Crew film, which is a story that

or a film, actually, that's made its way around the world, highly successful. I know

how many years it would take you to get that film made? It's, well, I started 96.
