Welcome to Searchlight, a survey through Scripture with Pastor John Corson.

It is our desire to bring you a systematic study of the entire Bible,

chapter by chapter, book by book.

On our last Searchlight program, we witnessed the remarkable birth of a family. This family was born

at the foot of the cross. We saw that in John chapter 19, Jesus spoke from the cross to his

mother Mary and to his disciple John. Essentially what he told them is that they are now a family.

Mary is now John's mother and John is now Mary's son.

Today, we will begin to explore just what this means to us and to our families,

and the lesson is very important.

With our study, here now is Pastor John.

I want to talk to you for a few minutes about what I think is a critical, essential understanding

concerning family and the true family tree.
