The dates are February 5th through the 7th, and the subject of the conference is growing in the Gifts of the Spirit.

You can join us there in person or via live stream, and what you're going to get out of that conference is some serious theological training on the gifts of the Spirit.

What are they? How do they operate?

There's also going to be opportunities to break out and practice spiritual gifts in a kind of biblical,

safe, and orderly way. We've got lectures from myself, Michael Miller, Michael Roundtry, John Mark Baker, from the Minor Prophets, and Dr. Sam Storms. So if you're looking to move beyond just

the theoretical and learning the theology of spiritual guests, but you're actually wanting to start

practicing them for yourself, I'd encourage you to come out and hang out with us February 5th

through the 7th there in San Diego, California. So we're talking about the fall of the charismatic movement.

Now, as you know, we are continuationist on this program, meaning that we believe that the

gifts of the spirit have continued.

So in a very broad sense, we are part of the charismatic movement.

But when we talk about the fall of the charismatic movement, we're talking about general terms,

speaking generically, and we're talking about the largest fall of the charismatic movement. We're talking about general terms. I was speaking

generically. And we're talking about the largest institutions of the charismatic movement that have

fallen under disrepute. As you know, in November of 2022, Carl Lentz, lead pastor of Hillsong

church in New York City was found in an affair with a model. Soon after, in 2021, Brian Houston seemed to be

complicit in the cover-up of predatory behavior of his own father. Though an Australian court

did in fact acquit him of criminal charges that accused him of failing to report this child abuse

to the police and the proper authorities, he still remains guilty in the public eye for knowing

his father's sin and failing to expose it as the scripture's demand. Between Brian and Carl, Hillsong's Church,

their name has been dragged through the mud, leaving a huge stain on the charismatic movement.
