There's this figure in the Old Testament that keeps on showing up and honestly honestly, is one of the most fascinating, mysterious people in all of the scripture. That's right, today we're talking about the angel of the Lord. Stay tuned, it's going to be an exciting episode. Hey, guys, my name is Joshua Lewis, and in this episode, we're talking about the angel of the Lord. Now, at first, it sounds pretty straightforward.

If you're picking up your Bible for the first time, you come across this language of the angel of the Lord, you might think, okay, just another angel bringing messages from God.

But when you actually start digging into these passages, something incredible begins to emerge.

The angel doesn't just speak for God. He speaks as God. It carries the

divine name Yahweh in various passages. He makes covenantal promises and he does things that only God can do.

Later in these texts will see that he begins to receive worship and people who meet with him
