Summary

What’s your story? We all have one. As believers, God has crafted a story for each of us, bringing us into salvation through the work of His Son, Jesus. Your story may be one of faithful Christian parents that brought you up in the ways of the Lord. Your story may be one of wandering. Perhaps you became a Christian later in life after years of rebellion. Whatever your story entails, there is a common thread that we all share: the faithfulness of God. In today’s episode, Krystal chats with her pastor, Afshin Ziafat. Though he was raised in a Muslim household, Afshin came to know the Lord in his teenage years. Afshin has an incredible testimony and has the opportunity to share it all other the world. 0:43.2	podcast and I am really excited to have a special guest with me today, Abshin Zeefat. Abshin is the
0:50.0	lead pastor of Providence Church in Frisco, Texas and before coming to Providence, Abshin spent a
0:55.6	decade traveling and sharing the gospel in churches, retreats, camps, and conferences. He's also
1:01.6	traveled to the Middle East to train Iranian pastors and you'll hear a little bit more by why that
1:05.9	is such a passion of his. Abshin serves as a council member for the gospel coalition and is
1:11.6	written for numerous outlets including Desiring God in ERLC. And this is really fun for me because
1:18.1	unlike a lot of our other guests that are online, social media friends, we are actually friends
1:24.5	in real life because you happen to be by pastors. So this is really fun to get to do. So thanks

1:41.7	can you just share it a little bit about yourself? Yeah, you know, I come from an Iranian background
1:47.2	and so hence the name Abshin Ziafat. But I think you covered it pretty well. I married to a wife
1:53.9	named Meredith and have three kids, Elise, Anzli, and Isaac. So two girls and a boy. We love
1:59.2	pastoring. Been here at Providence for 12 years now. So it's pretty exciting. Also really fun
2:05.0	that you got to serve on staff for a while for a period of time as well. So yeah, so that's a little
