Today, I am talking with Dr. Amina Keats all about breast cancer.

pleasure talking with her today as breast cancer can be a huge, scary topic for a lot of us,

and Dr. Keats broke down the basics. Here's a clip from today's conversation. Whenever there's an ER

positive kind of breast cancer diagnosis, of course, you're going to be thinking about things

that help to reduce kind of exogenous estrogen intake, supporting estrogen kind of metabolism,

detoxification. So of course, you got that category, but then what if you get the last back?

And suppose there's increased levels of something like I mentioned IGF1, which we're supposed

to have normal levels in our circulation, but when they're elevated, it can actually act as a

growth factor potentially just like insulin, like I mentioned. So definitely want to kind of

regulate those things that are abnormal, looking at things like kidney function, liver function,

and the metabolic panel of looking at things again like vitamin D.

So really taking all these things into account and creating a comprehensive treatment plan that just doesn't impact estrogen kind of pathway, but other kinds of categories as well.
