podcast at the BBC. It's a bit of a dream job really. Comedy is a bit of a dream job really.

making people's days a bit better, helping them process, all manner of things.

But you know, I also know that comedy is really

subjective and everyone has different tastes. So we've got a huge range of comedy on offer from

satire to silly, shocking to soothing, profound to just general pratting about.

Hello and welcome to the evidence from the almost an hour discussing the best evidence we're spending almost an hour discussing the best evidence we have about the coronavirus and its impact on the world.

This show is produced in collaboration with Welcome Collection

and we've broadcast in front of audiences in Hong Kong, Vietnam and South Africa,

but now of course for safety each of our panel of experts is in their own homes wherever they live in the world

and we have questions which some of you have sent in.

This is a chance for us to look in depth at a virus that is causing a great deal of uncertainty

and anxiety and to get to the facts as we know them.

Now the world is changing very fast and approaches to public health that were considered

unthinkable in many parts of the world are now commonplace such as closing schools,

airports, shops and public transport and demanding that people stay indoors.

Meanwhile hospitals are being built in record time,

but many existing hospitals are overwhelmed.

Later on we'll hear about the psychological impact on medical staff in Italy who were witnessing situations they never thought they would see.
