As I mentioned last time we are currently preparing a new season of Road to a Mayas

podcast with lots of new material reading sacred

scripture from the heart of the church. But today I want to go back to the storehouse

and bring out an old treasure. Today we've got the second talk in the series answering common objections.

This is a series that a number of people have been asking for

ever since we started the Road to a Mayas podcast.

These talks were recorded over 30 years ago not long after I became

Catholic. The series addresses some of the biggest issues that come up with

evangelical Protestants who are at least open to considering the Catholic faith,

things like Mary, the Pope, purgatory, the Saints, and especially the Holy Eucharist.

When these were given, I hadn't yet published any books.

Several of these talks would develop into entire books years later.

They were recorded on cassette tape back in the early 90s,

so naturally you're going to hear some background noises and some dated

references. But I hope you'll also hear what I did when I went back and listened to them,

the excitement of a new discovery, and the first love for our Catholic faith.
