Thank you. Welcome to Mortification of Spin. My name's Carl Truman. I am professor of biblical and theological

studies at Grove City College in Western Pennsylvania and currently the Bush Family Visiting

Research Fellow at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, where I am the one person on campus

who doesn't really understand what's going on on football weekends.

And I'm here as always with my good friend, the Reverend Todd Pruitt, who is pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

Good to be with you, as always, Carl. Great to see you, though not in person, you know, just to get to see your face on the screen.

You know, what a privilege.

It has to be a blessing.

You know, Carl, one of the things I love about, we've been doing this for a long time, and, you know, we get periodically, we get some really good free books, and that's always nice. I mean, that's really, anymore, that's the main reason I do this, because I still get free books, you know. Even though you have to put up with me once every few weeks. Well, I put up with you, and that's all right. But, you know, I mean, the free books make it very much, very much worth it. And the odds of getting to bump into you anymore are getting scarcer. You know, now with you living way up in the land of Notre Dame, and of course, you're a world traveler. You're in demand everywhere. Every good group and every

sketchy group, you know, wants to hear from you. I know. As you know, this morning, Todd,

I had an unexpected invitation from Al Jazeera to go to Dohaar and do a roundtable discussion,

which I'm not able to do as it happens. But I just want our,

I want our listeners to know that. The Muslims are after Carl. They want to convert him. They want him

on the team. But I can tell you so far, at least, he's standing strong. So, I mean, they have not,

they haven't, they haven't offered him like Tucker Carlson level

of money yet. But if that happens, who knows, all bets are off. If they do that, all bets are off.
