It was an event that Asics put on to launch their new shoe called the GlideRide, which features energy saving technology. In this episode I describe the structure of the race, my mentality going into the race, and the results. Also be sure to check out Himalaya!!!- the best podcasting app around. Hey guys, welcome back to Redirected. I'm Andrew East and if you tuned in last week,

0:10.8

you saw that I did an episode with Sidel Curry where we were at this event called the ASIC's

0:15.2

Eternal Run out in Salt Lake City, Utah and rarely have I ever gotten the feedback or the response

0:21.8

that I did talking about that Eternal Run and people wanting to learn more about it. So I thought

0:26.1

I'd sit down with you guys and do an entire episode dedicated to sharing what the event was all

0:31.6

about and my experience with it. So if you guys are new here before we get started, go ahead and

0:35.9

hit the subscribe button and give this show a rating and review that really helps us out and I also

0:40.9

need to give a big shout out to ASICs who put on this entire event and the purpose was to launch

0:46.6

and test their new shoe called the ASIC's Glide Ride which you can find out more about and get

0:51.2

your own pair. Find that in the show notes down below. So let me set the stage for you here.

1:11.8

a benchmark test, right? What the test was was an interval test that was 15 minutes total and you

1:19.2

were supposed to run three minutes at a 10% intensity, take a one minute break, three minutes at a

1:28.8

30% intensity, take a one minute break, three minutes at a 50% intensity, one minute break,

1:34.4

70% one minute break and 90% intensity. All right, so that whole test takes 15 minutes and I had to

1:41.2

do it outside on a track that measured your distance and your heart rate apparently and they were

1:46.0

going to use this and constructing this competition that again we knew nothing about. So Sean and I

1:52.8

hop on a plane and we go out to Salt Lake City and I had never felt the competitive thrill or the

1:59.6

anxiety as much as I had felt during the lead up to that competition. I didn't know what I was doing.

2:07.4

I felt like my body was ready but I wasn't sure and when we got to the hotel out in Salt Lake City,
