Well, hello there, happy hump day, especially during primary season.

We love these hump day podcasts.

I'm Chuck Todd and this is the Chuck Toddcast.

So on Tuesday, voters cast ballots in a slew of states, coast to coast, California, New

Jersey, Iowa, New Mexico, Mississippi, South Dakota, Montana.

There was no one marquee race.

There was some interesting moments and interesting big themes that seemed to come out of this.

We're going to go through some of the big races from LA Mayor, San Francisco DA Recall,

which we think does belong in the national conversation.

You also had some house races of note.

In general, you can make a large case that the sort of the mainstream wings of both parties

had better nights than the farther left or right parts of each party, particularly

progressive, you can argue, really took a beating.

But there's a lot to sift through, my guest today, to go through this Dave Wasserman,

House Senator of the Cook Political Report with Amy Walter and Melanie Mason, the National

Political Corp for the LA Times, since frankly, half of our conversation is going to be about

the goings-on in California, both No Cal and so Cal.
