So last summer, as Ava and I were walking, she casually, at least that's how it felt at the time, I think in retrospect it wasn't casual at all, she casually mentioned that there was going to be a 24-hour, her word, race, run at the end of January, in the community where we live.

Now, let me explain what a 24-hour run race is all about.

It's actually called the Myrtle Beach 24, the MB 24.

You can add the word race, you can add the word run if you'd like, but officially it's simply the MB 24.

And this is the weekend for the MB 24.

You sign up and I think they allowed 150 participants.

You sign up and you have 24 hours from 8 a.m. one morning until 8 a.m. the next morning.

And this is being held at the Grand Lake in Market Common.

And there's a little more than a one mile paved path around the lake.
