My name is Jeff, and today Aaron and

0:39.6

Greg and I are going to talk about e-bikes again. It's actually been more than two years since we

0:45.6

talked about electric mountain bikes on a dedicated episode, which is kind of hard to believe.

0:51.3

But clearly a lot has changed since the last time we talked about it. So we thought

0:55.7

today would be a good time to discuss where things are in terms of electric mountain bike technology,

1:02.0

some of the regulations that address these new vehicles, and also talk about sort of writer

And so their parent company has basically told them, we'll make e-bikes so you guys don't have to. So really, they're in the e-bike business, too. They're just not putting the Santa Cruz name on it. Right. Got to protect the cred. I would agree with most of that, Greg, but I would say that even small brands have e-bikes now, which is kind of surprising. If you look at orange bikes out of the UK, Comins-Hall, Consumer Direct Company, they both have e-bikes now, and they're definitely on the

2:18.8

smaller end of the brand spectrum. I'd say one thing that hasn't changed is they're still

2:24.4

really expensive. Just looking at specialized turbo livo, their full suspension, which is more or less
