First up, Freddie Gray, the editor of our American edition, writes the cover piece this week, asking

what a Biden presidency would look like.

He joins me now together with Evan Osnos, a staff writer for the New Yorker whose recent biography on Biden is just out. So, Freddie to start with, can you tell us what the poll situation

is like for Biden at the moment? Well, it looks very much like he's winning. And I mean,

I increasingly distrust polls. I think they may be very

wrong. But it's hard to argue with them at the moment. I mean, if you look at women voters or senior

voters and these key demographics, it looks very much as though Biden is going to win this election,

possibly by a landslide.

And you sort of hope that in a way it will be a landslide because I think that's the only

result that will leave America not in a state of civil war.

I know that sounds stupid, but I'm actually not exaggerating.

Is a clear Biden landslide.

Yeah.

And do you think he will win?
