First up, the SMP is in turmoil, with the party's former leader Alex Salmond

alleging that Nicola Sturgeon has misled the Scottish Parliament and broken the ministerial code.

But back in Westminster, there's turmoil in number 10, which

means they don't seem to be very focused on the union. So can Boris get his side in order?

In this week's cover piece, Katie Balls, the spectator's deputy political editor, explains the

plan to save the union. Katie joins me now alongside Alex Massey, the Spectator's Scotland editor.

Katie, in your cover piece this week, you write that government infighting is now putting the

Union at risk. Can you tell listeners what exactly has been happening in Number 10 over the past few weeks?

Yes, so there's been various reports, but ultimately what's happened is that the head of the

union unit has left his role,

that's Oliver Lewis and he was in his role for a grand total of two weeks.

And prior to him, Luke Graham for Torrey MP had that role and he also left the role within

the past month.
