But first, in 1928, a dramatic exorcism took place in Erling, Iowa.

The possessed woman has been called by a variety of names to protect her identity.

One of them was Anna Eckland, and in 2016, a movie called The Exorcism of Anna Eklund was released.

The movie was fictionalized, but in 1935, a real-life account of the exorcism was

published. What the public didn't know was that there was also a secret report that was never

released, and it revealed even more dramatic things than were contained in the public account.

So, who was the real-life Anna Eklund? What happened with the exorcism? And what is the

secret report reveal? That's what we'll be talking about on this episode of Jimmy Aiken's

mysterious world. Now, Jimmy, before we get into this week's mystery, I understand that you wanted

to give an update on something you've mentioned before about exorcism. What was that? Well, in previous

episodes, I've commented on how actual demonic possession is rare. And specifically, I've mentioned

how I've spoken with people in the exorcistic community who have estimated that in a city

of a million people, there are likely to be only one or two

cases of genuine possession at any given time. In episode 410, we then had a piece of feedback
