despite inflation.

Today we'll speak with Mark Bauerline, he's a professor emeritus of English at Emory

University.

He's an editor at First Things, and he hosts a podcast twice a week.

He's the author of five books, we'll discuss his latest book on the show today, it's called

The Dumbest Generation, how the digital age stuporifies young Americans and jeopardizes

our future, starting about the millennials.

Yeah, one thing I'm finding interesting in it, and I was watching the news the last couple

of weeks, there's something that had jumped out at me, is that now the news reports and

anchors in what they're writing, they're starting to classify things as mass shootings,

that they didn't classify as mass shootings before, before it would be, if some crazed lunatic

walks into a school or a shopping center, a grocery store, a church, and kills multiple

people in that place, that would be considered a mass shooting.

Now, I've been seeing a lot of reports of, oh, there were five mass shootings this weekend,

and all of them were neighborhood stuff, or fight broke out, and three to four people were
