I'm very excited for this.

Joining us once again is Joe.

He's back.

And we're covering something now that I have wanted to do since we started doing TCK.

I would say the big ones, starting off with episode one of TCK, the big ones that I had in my mind that I knew I wanted to do were Ed Kemper, which we've already done.

Ed Gein, which we've already done.

Richard Ku Klinsky, which ended up being a huge letdown.

The shoemaker.

And then this one.

And that's the Donner Party.

And this is something that I've gotten a lot of requests for.

We're going to get into some problematic territory because of my personal views on cannibalism.

And there's just a lot to talk about here. This is going to be a pretty girthy, just a big fat hog of a series.

And for this, I read two books.

The first is The Best Land Under Heaven by Michael Wallace, and the second is Desperate Passage

by Ethan Rarick.

And to be honest, both of these books are absolutely fucking fantastic.

They're great.

They're both detailed.

They're both told in chronological order.
