Once upon a time, there lived a sheepdog who tended sheep on a farm.

His master was not very kind, and never gave him enough to eat.

So one day, the sheepdog decided he would leave and go his own way.

He walked for days through fields and forests and grew so tired, he lay down under an oak tree and took a rest. When he woke,

he found a sparrow standing in front of him. Brother dog, I thought you'd never wake. Why are you so

sleepy? The sparrow asked. I'm hungry. No, I've found nothing to eat. The sheepdog replied.

So the sheepdog followed the sparrow to town. And when they arrived, the sparrow led him straight to the butcher's shop.

The sparrow flew onto the window sill and checked to be sure no one was watching him.
