I'm your host Bob Mata, and this is episode four of our continuing coverage of making the case for a reasonous sense.

And I am once again joined by my reluctant champion, Ali.

Pretty good.

Alright, so just give people a very brief primer because I don't want to waste any time with small talk here

because we have so much to go through.

We left off third episode, explained to people we are digging in completely into this thing.

And we are currently going through the Calumet County Sheriff's Departments,

entire investigation file, which totals about 1100 in some change pages.

We're going to be going through that. We're also going to be covering intermittently as things kind of pop up.

We'll obviously be playing sound of certain things that we think are important, calls that were made, reports that came in from other agencies.

All those things will be covered.

And we're going to try to do the best that we can in terms of keeping it chronologically.

And that may seem like it's kind of an easier thing to do.

But as we said with the Calumet County Sheriff's Department reports, they're not dated.

So in terms of when they're written and when things actually occurred,

I think we have a pretty good handle on when the things actually went down because typically within the narrative of the report itself they will tell us

when something happened or at least that's what they're writing in the report.

So we left off last episode or actually we began last episode with Karen Halbach calling in her daughter as a missing person.

That happens about 5 p.m. on the 5th of November 2005.
