is Idaho 4 update number 4, and I am joined by my beautiful wife and my partner in crime,

actually my partner in all things, Alli Mata, what's up girl, how are you, pretty good,

all right so we're going to knock on the loan these out of the park, you know we did

Idaho 4 last week when he was indicted through the grand jury, and now as of yesterday he was finally

arraigned, and Alli why don't you tell our beautiful listeners just exactly what does

arraigned mean, well I do think you told him this in the last episode but I'm happy to do it again,

an arraignment is just the formal proceeding in which the defendant is advised that the

charges against him and he enters a plea of guilty or not guilty, or in this case stands silent,

which definitely took me by surprise, I was not anticipating frankly, I had never even heard of it,

yeah I mean I think it's something that people used to do like back in the day, you used to just

say I waive formal arraignment and the defendant stands silent in the face of the charges or

you know something along those lines, but yeah in this case it was clearly something the defense team

strategized, discussed and decided to do because it is not something people generally do, yeah as

soon as I heard that it had taken place I obviously immediately googled it and I found out in

short order that it was old timey, it's you know it's like late 1800s, early 1900s, I mean it's been

used as I continued to research it in some other cases more recently, but it's it's typically not

something that is done, it's very rare I would say is a safe safe we would put it for sure, and you

know but the end of the day the effect is the exact same as if he had just said not guilty to all counts

himself, because essentially all the judge did was just do it for him, so you know I mean it's the same

legal effect and there is no impact moving forward at all on any of his trial strategies or anything
