Welcome to the Darkness,

0:22.8

I'm your host, Bob Manna, and I am joined by my fabulous co-host, Ali.

0:30.2

Hi, Ali. Hey, so we're back. We are here on the breaking news on the Idaho 4 case.

0:38.5

Today, I believe is May 17th, and the news broke. I think overnight, and I tweeted it about

0:46.2

the crack of dawn. I want to say five in the morning, and it was a little bit of a risky endeavor,

0:52.4

because the news came through a ban field on news nation, and I'm sometimes apprehensive

1:00.3

about relying on them as a source, because they tend to rely on, you know,

1:06.0

unnamed sources, and you know that's on my game. Like, I'm a big, big, very big on,

1:13.1

getting named sources. I want reliable information, and like, the speculation thing is on my game.

1:45.4

what I did see, I went on the docket, and I saw that they canceled the preliminary hearing for

1:50.1

June 30th, which I think all of us were looking forward to just because of the huge amount of

1:55.6

interest in this case, and people that kind of understand, and people that definitely follow us,

2:01.9

they would have known that that would have been a mini trial. They had carved out multiple days

2:06.0

for that thing. It would have been a full-blown hearing. And I had been saying, and I was trying

2:10.8

to find out the first time I tweeted it, that this thing, I would be stunned, even though they

2:16.0

rarely ever do, they go to the grand jury in Idaho. They typically almost always go to preliminary

2:22.0

hearings. As a matter of fact, there's a statute, a speedy preliminary hearing statute in Idaho that

2:28.0

basically says that the state had 14 days by which to bring it to preliminary hearing, otherwise
