So there's any number of reasons why not all Muslims who read the Quran end up waging

jihad, but there's been insufficient attention paid to the fact that the Quran itself can be

the primary instrument of radicalization.

With my body, I be served.

I mean, there's nothing in these vows about what I'm

going to get out of this. And that, you know, if it doesn't go well for me, then I'm going to

leave. Or any hint or whiff of emotivism or self-fulfillment, it was just self-giving.

So in America, it's usually something along the lines of get religion out of schools,

get religion out of government, and in fact, that would be quite contradictory to the biblical

teaching and certainly our Lutheran confessions.

In this epiphany season, we'll hear about the desire of God to save even the Gentiles,

those who are far off scattered away.

He's come for everyone, and he wants everyone then to be baptized into him, even as he was

baptized into us.
