Yeah, hey, I was just wondering if you guys had any Happy Dad Seltzer.

This is us trying to find a liquor store that had the Nelk Boys' new hard-seltzer, happy dad in stock.

And we were completely out of luck. If you don't know who the Nelk boys are, they are YouTube's

resident bad boys. The partying continues at many campuses and some college officials are pointing

a finger at these YouTube pranksters.

The Nelph boys.

They're notoriously known for parting, pulling pranks,

and honestly, almost getting banned from the platform multiple times.

They don't actually even make any advertising revenue from YouTube at all,

which actually opens up a lot of opportunities for them.

And this episode, we're talking about the Disneyfication of the Nelk Boys. Now, that's not going to make much

sense right now, but it will as you get through the rest of the episode. What we're referencing

is what was called the Synergy Map of Disney made by Walt Disney in 1952.

If you want to look that up and check it out, it'll give you a nice frame of reference as you

listen to the rest of this episode.

Basically, what the Synergy Map showed was all the different facets of Disney's business

that were based off the media.

So when Disney was able to build a character out of Mickey Mouse, the connection was

so great that he was able to sell merchandise. And from there, he was able to create theme parks.
