For those of you on the northeastern coast, I hope you aren't being slammed by too much snow.

It was heavy rain here in Appalachia last night.

In fact, as the weather arrived in the middle of the night, it was so loud that for

a moment there, I wasn't even sure what exactly I was hearing. If it was a torrential downpour

of rain, or if it was heavy wind, if it was a tornado, or another hurricane, as of this morning,

it was pretty evident. It was a combination of that heavy wind and also heavy rain, but again, further north, for a lot of people, this has turned out to be snow.

Although we definitely saw a bit of that here in Appalachia the other day.

On Thursday afternoon, I was looking up my window at the snowfalling, and less than 24 hours before that, it had been 82 degrees.

I'm not kidding.
