Welcome in to part two of my great conversation with former Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Morning Wrig.

In part one, Marty told some fascinating stories of the Eagles drafting J-1 Hertz and his role

in both the scouting

of Hertz and developing Hertz as a rookie. If you haven't listened yet, you should really check it out.

There are some really great untold stories there. In our final part two, Marty explains why it's

important the Eagles decide what they want to be offensively as they look for a new offensive

play caller.

And he goes inside his experiences at both the Eagles offensive coordinator and coaching other great quarterbacks around the league.

The Eagles offense obviously didn't reach expectations this year.

It's been a primary talking point coming off the season.

First, Marty, what were some of your thoughts and observations having watched it?

And based off of what you've seen from the personnel, what offense do you believe would be ideal?

What are some of the principles that you think would best fit this team moving forward?

Well, to me, offense, it's really not about the X's and O's.

It's about philosophy.

And so then you've got to define philosophy.

What's philosophy?

It's the way you go by your business, right?

We talked about hard work and preparation and taking care of the football.

And all of those things that go into becoming a good offense are important.

All right. And you attack and you're aggressive. and all of those things that go into becoming a good offense are important, all right?

And you attack and you're aggressive at everything, you know, starting with the meetings and then practice and on the field. And even if it's a deceptive type of play, you want to be aggressive within the deceptive type of play, right?
