here, of Inside the Birds.com. And the Eagles improved of five and two on the season,

beating the Minnesota Vikings 28 to 22.

And it was a game that had a little bit of everything.

But this is going to be known as the Jalen Hertz game.

Jalen Hertz completed 19 of 23 pass attempts for 3226 yards and three touchdowns.

Wide receiver Devante Smith turned in a career best performance,

hauling in nine of 11 past targets for 181 yards and a touchdown.

And that touchdown went for 79 yards, which was the longest reception of Smith's career.

And A.J. Brown also eclips the 100-yard receiving

threshold, accumulating 121 yards and two touchdowns on four receptions. But I thought at the end of

that game, that's where the Eagles were really able to rise to the occasion. They get the 37-yard

kick return from wide receiver Xavier Gibson, who was making

his Eagles debut, which gave the Eagles field position at the 43, with 152 remaining.

And then in the end, when the game was hanging in the balance, it was Jalen Hertz on a third

and nine delivering a 46-yard drop in the bucket to wide receiver

A.J. Brown, and it seemed to silence that stadium, which was pretty loud throughout the game,

and the Eagles salted away the remaining 135 to improve to five and two on the season.

That was the best game that Jalen Hertz has had all season, the most efficient.

But it was about maneuvering the pocket, which I think he did a phenomenal job in doing.

And he was decisive.

He was extending plays.
