I'm in one of the little booths here recording this podcast,

and the Eagles beat the Detroit Lions in a defensive slug fest by a score of 16 to 9.

There's a lot of takeaways from this game.

And there's a lot that has yet to be determined.

But I spoke to a number of different

players in the locker room, including linebacker and Kobe Dean, who had a heck of a football game

tonight. And let's start with the weather. And it was extremely windy here in South Philadelphia.

There were leaves rustling. You can clearly see that that was impacting both

kickers and pregame, and you could see the flags waving, the goalposts sort of wavering a little bit.

And that certainly, I believe at least, played a part in the game tonight. But let's look at some of the

stats immediately. Quarterback Jaywin-Hurth completed 8, 28 passes for 135 yards while adding another 32 at a touchdown on the ground. Running back Sequin Barkley carried 26 times for 83 yards. The leading receiver was AJ Brown, who secured seven of 11 pass targets for 49 yards. Defensively, linebacker Zach Bond led the way with seven tackles, and

Jacoby Dean and Jalen Phillips each picked up a sack.

For Phillips, it was his first sack since joining the Eagles, while Dean registered his
