And if we're starting to sound like a broken record, Adam Kaplan, the Eagles defense saves the day

again. The Eagles win 16-9 over the Detroit Lions, and once again, offense struggles,

defense, and it happened right around this time last year, Adam, where the Eagles defense

sort of started to get right,

started to get comfortable, and then really took off to the point that they were number one by

the end of the year, and you're starting to see it now. And it's funny because the vibe coming

out of the locker room all week long about A.J. Brown and the offense, the offensive players

said, you know, we can't just keep making our defense have to be the hero and save the day. Well, guess what? I think the defense is doing it because they've actually, and they're relishing it, they're really coming together. Yeah, and a night where we talked about us to the pregame show was going to be winning. It was brutal out there. It was tough. Collinsworthworth kept talking about it how it's got to be

tough for guys like Jared goff we don't have power arms where Hertz has got a strong arm now but

we'll get to that overall but look it's it's a win the defense was dominant it talking to coaches over

the years it's not about sex it's about constant consistent pressure and that's what you got from their D-line. They were relentless. It's another thing we talked about in the pregame show is Gough cannot get out of his own way sometimes, and he could not get out of his own way. Boy, did they get to him. We'll talk more in depth in a couple minutes about the defense. But overall, to win under tough conditions. They had their opportunities in offense. Actually, I thought the offense was a little bit better than probably most people thought. It wasn't good enough, clearly. The only squirts seven offensive points. That's bad. But there were some good things. There were a lot of execution errors in this game. A ton of them in particular in the first half. A lot of drops. I don't think that had anything to do with the wind. I think I was just a lot of drops.

And, you know, I yeah, yeah, yeah, missed some missed blocks, some weird wonk. I mean, a very

wonky night for the tush push itself. I've never seen them fail so miserably at it before.

But that's just kind of a microcosm of this team right now. They take a step forward sometimes on offense, but two steps backwards.

I mean, that's their signature play.

And then you give them a chance on defense, and they come up with a stop time and time again.

And in the big picture here, the Eagles are 8 and 2.

And in this win, no matter how flawed they might look, they've beaten the bucks, they've

beaten the Rams, they've beaten the now Detroit Lions, and they've beaten the Cowboys.

So in the NFC, they are sitting pretty right now.
