Hello everyone. Welcome in to DeChico Daily. I'm your host, Andrew DeCecho. And today, the Eagles held rookie mini camp.

And I know that might not mean much for some because it's really hard to glean anything,

but it is the start of a, really the new NFL season. And it offered the opportunity for rookies

and tryout players to really get their feet wet, acclimate, and meet their coaches and things

like that. And we'll have to wait and see if any of the tryout players get signed, but there was a notable player who did try out, and that is Temple Defensive

lineman Michael Dogby, who was drafted by the Cardinals in 2019, I believe. I got to know Mike

pretty well during the whole pre-draft process back then. We checked in with each other over the years, and he's been bouncing around.

But he's played in the NFL, and he's played for the Cardinals for a number of games,

and he lasted a couple seasons there, and then went to the Texans and bounced around

the Jaguars.

But really strong, imposing defensive linemen, multifaceted,

and I remember we initially met at the East West Shrine Bowl in 2019.

So we'll have to wait and see if he earns a contract.

It's very difficult.

Last offseason, the only player to earn a contract that was a tryout player

was Sean Stevens, the corner from Ferris State,

who you may remember I interviewed for the rookie or not of the rookie diary, the draft dream series that I do.

And he ended up making it all the way through training camp.

Unfortunately for him, he did not make the roster.

But this is the new beginnings for many of these young Eagles.

And just to kind of give you an idea, I know some are really interested in numbers.
