Hello everyone and welcome into this edition of DeCecho Daily.

Andrew DeCecho here and tough news for Eagles wide receiver Johnny Wilson.

On Tuesday, you may remember from the previous podcast, he suffered a injury to his knee

ankle.

And it occurred on a play early in practice during a team period where he was rolled up on

by guard Brett Tooth.

And it was an injury that was significant enough where Toh

sensed it immediately got off of him. You could see that Johnny Wilson, the Eagle second

year wide receiver, was sort of writhing in pain. He hobbled off. He couldn't put any weight

on his left leg. And he went into the trainer's tent shortly thereafter.

He was carted off inside.

Didn't look good.

And on Thursday, we received word that Johnny Wilson is done for the season.

He will undergo season-ending surgery to repair injuries to his knee and ankle.

That is such a tough break because Johnny Wilson was really starting to come on,

emerging in his second season, at least in training camp.

Started off a little bit slow, wasn't necessarily playing to his size,

but what I noticed, he started making some plays in traffic,

and then he started to use his body on the back shoulder, and in the preseason game,

especially against the Bengals, really reaping the benefits of his size and using that.

And then he only played about eight snaps in the next game against the Browns.

So he was a player that I sort of had as a lock.
