And the Eagles have some big news.

They reportedly have agreed to a three-year, $51 million deal with their own free agent,

linebacker Zach Bonn, which is obviously massive news. Nothing could be official, of course,

until next week. But it's incredible to think that Zach Bonn goes from last year signing a one-year $3.5 million deal to get this.

The deal is reportedly worth averages out to $17 million a year, but there's $34 million of that is guaranteed.

And this is all according to ESPN's Adam Schaefter.

The additional 1.5 million will be for incentive and incentives and escalators.

Again, this is all per the report of ESPN.

So look, based on those initial numbers, that's fantastic value.

That's kind of what I expected, more or less, the range to be for Zach Bonn.

If you've listened to me or if you've read any of my stories over the last three or four weeks, I've made it very clear that Zach Bonn should have been and clearly was the Eagles

priority this offseason

retaining a player at a position that has been a revolving door of sorts because the

Eagles have for so many years tried to find solutions to patch that second level together.

Well, they swung and they now, well, I shouldn't even say they swung.

They added a player, Hallie Roseman and Vic Fangio, a little known player from the Saints who

hadn't played more than 310 snaps on defense in his career. And he was really an edge rusher

and a special teamer, which is what I thought he was going to be in Philadelphia.

Well, the Eagles morph him into an inside linebacker, one of the games best.

Bonn had over 150 tackles.
