What's happening, everybody?

It's never quiet in Eagles land.

And on Sunday afternoon, the Eagles in general manager, Howie Roseman, were aggressive. They pulled the trigger, acquiring wide receiver,

John Mechie, the third from the Houston Texans. And the compensation is the Eagles receive

wide receiver John Mechie the third and a sixth round pick.

And the Texans receive tight end Harrison Bryant and a fifth round pick.

But what's interesting is that Mechie the third now adds to a very deep wide receiver room.

And really there's a logjam of players you can make a case for

making the Eagles 53 man roster. Behind A.J. Brown, Devante Smith and Jehan Dodson. There's second

year wide receiver Johnny Wilson, who's really come on as of late using his size to his

advantage. He's a player the Eagles like. He offers blocking upside. I don't believe

that this impacts him in any way. There's also another second year wide receiver to Anaya Smith,

who has punt return upside, not to mention Terrace Marshall Jr., who's a veteran, and he's had

some bright moments in training camp. There's Darius Cooper, the emerging rookie wide receiver who's sort of really taken his

opportunity and run with it this summer.

And he has had some really good moments.

The Eagles are now giving him special teams opportunities and they seem to like what

they've seen there.

So it's a really crowded receiving core, and it's difficult to

depict where METI, the third, is going to fit in. And look, Howie Roseman has proven time and
