This week, Tom and Ben explore the life and crimes of “America’s First Serial Killer” Dr H. H. Holmes.
Holmes lived a troubled life, using multiple identities in multiple states across America. This culminated in the purchase and development of his three-story “murder castle” on a vacant lot in Downtown Chicago.
The Castle - filled with trap-doors, gas chambers, false staircases, peepholes, fake walls and soundproofed torture rooms - was utilised by Holmes to murder up to 200 people…
