Did you know that the devil fights absolutely everywhere, that in the holiest environments,

on the greatest days in the most wonderful situations, the devil loves to poke his ugly head up?

Maybe you're experiencing that right now. I want you to know that's nothing new. In fact,

it happened to our Lord Jesus Christ.

I want to draw your attention today to one of the miracles of Christ that is recorded in two

gospel records. It is a very, very brief story found in Mark and found in Luke. Let's read the

account that Dr. Luke gives us in Luke chapter four, beginning

in verse 33. The Bible says, and in the synagogue there was a man which had a spirit of an

unclean devil and cried out with a loud voice, saying, let us alone. What have we to do with thee,

thou Jesus of Nazareth?

Are thou come to destroy us?

I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God.

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, hold thy peace, and come out of him.

And when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him and heard him not.

And they were all amazed and spake among themselves saying, what a word is this? For with authority and power, he commanded the unclean spirits,

and they come out, and the fame of him went out into every place of the country roundabout.
